Saint Roch
Bel Ombre got its first chapel in 1884, constructed on a plot of land at Danzilles, offered by Mr Bonnetard.
In 1947 construction work on the actual church began under the direction of Brother
Pierre-Marie who had drawn the plans. On
2nd May 1950, Bishop Maradan consecrated
the church; Father Jean de la Croix was the
parish priest.
From 1899 to 1940, the parish school was
managed by the Sisters of Cluny.
