ALDABRA: Our Lady of the Good Shepherd

In April 1959, Father Modeste, chaplain of the outer islands, visited Aldabra, situated more than 1000 kilometers from Mahé. In 1934, Bishop Ernest Joye went to visit the inhabitants. A chapel was blessed on 21st May 1961.

COETIVY: Saint Martin chapel

Bishop Wiehe went to celebrate Christmas mass for some 300 workers of different nationalities including Seychellois who worked in prawn farming.

The island is actually home to repentant prisoners and drug addicts.

DENIS ISLAND: Saint Denis

The chapel dating from 1979 was rebuilt and blessed on 15th August 1998 by Father Mathiot.

DESROCHES ISLAND: The Virgin Mary

The chapel is dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
